Accessing and Managing Tools
Accessing Tools
You can access your tools by navigating to the Tools Overview section via the Tools button in the left-side menu. This section provides a comprehensive list of all available tools, each designed to extend agent functionalities for various tasks. The list includes the tool's name and a brief description of its purpose.
Managing Tools
HALO provides flexible options for managing your tools, allowing you to customize and organize them according to your needs:
Individual Actions: Next to each tool, click the three-dot menu to access the following options:
Edit: Modify the tool's configuration or settings.
Duplicate: Create a copy of the tool for reuse or modification.
Delete: Permanently remove the tool from your account.
Copy to Another Profile: Transfer the tool to a different profile within your account. Note that when copying a tool, all tool content will be imported except for linked context variables. You will need to recreate these variables in the new profile to ensure the tool functions correctly.
Bulk Actions: Select multiple tools to perform bulk actions, such as duplication or deletion, saving time when managing large numbers of tools.
Filtering & Sorting: Use the search bar to find specific tools by name or description. You can also sort the list by Name or Date Modified to quickly locate the tools you need.
Tool Performance Insights
The Tools Overview section provides key metrics to help you evaluate and optimize tool performance:
Tool Triggers: Displays how often each tool is utilized, helping you understand usage patterns and identify frequently used tools.
Response Times: This shows the average time tools take to process requests and deliver results. Use this metric to analyze and improve tool performance.
Success Rate: Indicates the percentage of tasks successfully completed with the tool, highlighting its effectiveness and reliability.
These insights are crucial for ensuring that your tools operate at peak efficiency and support a wide range of use cases. By analyzing these metrics, you can make informed decisions to optimize tool usage and improve the overall performance of your AI systems. More about this on Tool Analytics .
