Overview

The Inventory Management feature in CM POS Software is designed to help users efficiently track and manage stock levels for their products. This feature is crucial for maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring smooth operations at points of sale.

Enabling Inventory Management

  1. Product Creation:

  • Before activating inventory management, ensure that the product is created and saved in the system.

  • By default, inventory management is disabled for new products.

  1. Activating Inventory Management:

  • Navigate to the product details page.

  • Locate the "Inventory" section and toggle the switch to enable inventory management.

Inventory Settings

Total Stock

  • Keep Selling When Out of Stock:

  • If this option is enabled, products will remain available for sale at the cash register even when stock levels reach zero.

  • The system will notify you that the product is sold out, helping you manage customer expectations and stock replenishment.

Allocate Stock

  • Channels and Points of Sale:

  • Users can allocate stock to various channels and points of sale.

  • To allocate stock, simply select the desired channel or point of sale from the available options.

  • This ensures that inventory is distributed according to your business needs and sales strategies.

Notifications

Global Notifications

  • These notifications apply to all products within the system settings and provide general alerts regarding inventory levels.

Specific Notifications

  • Threshold Levels:

  • Low Threshold: Users can manually set the low stock threshold to meet their inventory management needs. The system will display an orange label when stock levels fall below this threshold.

  • Critical Threshold: Users can also manually configure the critical stock threshold. The system will show a red label when stock levels drop below this critical threshold.

  • Stock Communication:

  • Users can add email addresses and phone numbers to receive notifications about stock levels, ensuring timely action can be taken.

Supplier Specification

  • Users can specify a supplier for each product, which aids in streamlining inventory management and supplier coordination.

  • To assign a supplier, go to the "Supplier" section and select from the list of available suppliers.

  • Currently, only one supplier can be assigned per product.

Supplier Details

  • Adding a New Supplier:

  • Fill out the required fields in the "New Supplier" form, including company details and contact information.

  • Required fields include Supplier ID and VAT number.

  • Ensure all necessary information is completed to facilitate smooth supplier interactions and inventory updates.
