Managing actions

Actions are the automated responses that your system executes when specific conditions are met. They represent the "then" part of your "if-then" automation rules, allowing your point-of-sale system to perform tasks automatically without manual intervention.

How Combination Actions Work

As shown in the example, you can stack multiple actions within a single automation rule:

  • Primary and Secondary Actions: Configure a sequence of actions that will execute in order. In the example, Action 1 applies a 10% discount to the entire order, while Action 2 adds a specific €10.00 discount on the "Barbapapa, Bavette Green Egg" product.

  • Action Stacking: There's no limit to how many actions you can combine. Use the "+ Add action" button to include additional actions to your rule.

  • Complementary Effects: Actions work together - for instance, you could combine:

    • An order-level discount with product-specific discounts

    • A notification to staff with a special banner for customers

    • A product promotion with order flow restrictions
