IBAN Verification is a service that lets businesses confirm a customer's name and IBAN number. It works by having the customer complete a small iDEAL transaction, after which the verified account details are returned immediately.
How it works

Integration: Connect the IBAN Verification service to your platform via the CM.com API. See the IBAN Verification documentation for technical details.

User action: The customer initiates verification by transferring €0.01 via iDEAL.

Verification: As soon as the transfer is completed, the API returns the account holder's name and IBAN number.

No Pay onboarding required: You do not need to be a CM.com Pay customer to use IBAN Verification.

Self-service for Pay customers: If you are already a Pay customer, you can create verification requests directly in the platform without using the API.
