Ticketing - Shops - Shop edit: Adding Shop Steps to Your Ticket Shop

Within your event's shop editor, you build the shop flow yourself by adding steps. For each step, you choose from three types: Tickets, Menu Options, and Content.

Overview

  • Add shop steps via "Add shop step" at the bottom of the shop flow

  • Choose from three types per step: Tickets, Menu Options, or Content

  • Tickets: shows the tickets you've created

  • Menu Options: builds a guided flow with self-defined options (e.g. months), each containing its own shop steps

  • Content: adds a page with free text, images, and videos

  • Combine and repeat steps as needed to build your own shop flow

How to Add a Shop Step

  1. Go to Event → Shops and open the shop you want to edit

  2. Click "Add shop step" at the bottom of the shop flow

  3. Choose the desired type: Tickets, Menu Options, or Content

For Tickets:

  1. Select the tickets you want to show in this step on the right-hand side

  2. To add more tickets to this step later, click the existing Tickets step to reopen it — a panel slides in on the right listing all available tickets, each with a "+" button to add it to the step

  3. Click "Save changes" (top of the shop editor) — tickets you've added are not visible in the live shop until this is done

For Menu Options:

  1. Click "Add option" to add a choice block (e.g. a month); add as many options as you need

  2. Add one or more further shop steps within each option, such as Tickets or a new Menu Option

  3. Buyers first see the options (e.g. the months) and click the desired option to see the tickets within it

For Content:

  1. Add one or more blocks within the content step: Text, Image, and/or Video

  2. Fill in the desired content per block (free text, an image, or a YouTube URL/video ID)

  3. Repeat for additional blocks, or add a second content page elsewhere in the shop if needed

  4. Click "Save changes" to publish your changes

Tickets not showing up in the shop? The most common cause is that tickets were added to a Tickets step but "Save changes" was never clicked afterwards. Adding a ticket via the "+" button in the right-side panel only stages the change in the editor — it is not applied to the live shop until "Save changes" is clicked. Always check this first before troubleshooting other causes (event/ticket active status, sales strategy, sale dates, shop active status).

Important Notes

  • You can combine and repeat shop steps to build your own shop flow

  • With Menu Options, you decide the number of options yourself and can add further shop steps within each option

  • With Content, you can add multiple blocks, even of the same type, and add multiple content pages at different points in your shop

  • For a video, paste a YouTube URL or video ID

  • The content page feature must be activated per account. Want to activate this? Contact your CM.com point of contact.

  • Any change to shop steps — including adding, removing, or reordering tickets — must be confirmed with "Save changes", or it will not take effect in the live shop
