The Voice tab sets which voice the agent speaks with in phone calls, which languages it speaks, and the filler phrases it uses while it works.
Default voice
Default Voice is used for all languages unless a language has its own voice. Pick a voice and click the play button to hear a preview.
Voices marked Premium are part of the separate voice package, priced separately. A premium voice speaks every supported language itself, so with a premium default voice the individual languages don't pick their own voice. Voice conversations with a premium voice run on a specialised agent model; the model selected in the agent settings does not apply.
Languages
Languages shows a tab for each language your agent speaks. The default language, set on the Identity tab, comes first and always speaks with the default voice. Click Add Language to add a language, or remove one through the icon on its tab. The default language can't be removed.
Each added language has its own Voice: the voice used when the agent speaks that language.
Filler phrases
Filler phrases are short spoken lines the agent uses to fill silence while it's working on a request, for example looking something up. You set them per language, in two lists:
-
Quick acknowledgements: the agent says one of these as soon as it starts working, so the customer knows it heard them.
-
Still working: the agent says one of these when a request takes longer than expected.
Click Add phrase to add a line. Each list holds up to 8 phrases.
The agent only ever says lines from these lists. If a list is empty, the agent stays silent instead. A new language starts with empty lists, so write phrases in that language when you add it.
