Consideration: In voice interactions, milliseconds matter. While an extra second or two might go unnoticed in text-driven channels, it can feel like an eternity on a voice channel. To address this, we’ve optimized the voice channel to minimize the time it takes for HALO to deliver the first spoken word.

Trade-Off: To ensure fast response times, we do not support global tone of voice or feedback mechanisms for voice interactions.

Impact: This approach keeps the interaction flow smooth and reduces the “time to first word” by 3-5 seconds. However, it requires careful design during the setup phase to embed tone and style directly into the responses.
