Dashboard → [multiple paths]
NxtGn Ticketing offers two ways to export data, depending on what you need and where you are in the platform.
Choosing the right export method depends on your goal: a quick snapshot of one event's orders, or a configurable report across multiple events.
Overview
-
There are two export paths available in NxtGn Ticketing.
-
The Reporting export is used for cross-event, configurable data exports with field selection.
-
The Orders export (within an event) is used for a quick export of order data for a single event.
-
Both support CSV and XLSX file formats.
-
Custom order form questions appear as columns only in the Reporting export.
Option 1 – Reporting Export
Dashboard → Reporting → Exports → Create export
Use this export when you need to compare data across multiple events, select specific fields, or include custom order form questions in your export.
The export wizard walks through three steps:
-
Choose an export type: Attendees or Orders.
-
Select one or more events to include.
-
Configure data fields and give the export a name.
The export is generated in the background and becomes available for download in the Reporting → Exports overview.
-
Best for: cross-event reporting, accounting, data analysis
-
Supports: custom questions from order forms
-
Access: Reporting tab in the top navigation → Exports tab → + Create export
Option 2 – Orders Export (within an event)
Dashboard → Events → [Event] → Orders → Export
Use this export for a quick download of order data for a specific event. This option is available directly within an event's Orders overview.
A popup (Export data) appears with the following required settings:
-
Select a data type: Order or Attendee.
-
Select a file format: CSV or XLSX.
-
Check the agreement checkbox.
The Export button only becomes active once all three options are set. Active filters in the Orders overview affect the content of the export.
-
Best for: quick, event-specific exports
-
Does not support: cross-event reporting or custom field selection
-
Access: open an event → Orders → Export button
This Is Not the Same as
-
Reporting → Compare events — this shows a visual comparison between events and does not generate a downloadable file.
-
Dashboard widgets — live overviews of event performance, not exportable files.

Functional Summary
Within NxtGn Ticketing, users can export data via Reporting → Exports (for cross-event, configurable exports) or via Events → Orders → Export (for a quick single-event export). Choosing the right path depends on the scope and level of detail required.
