Shop URL – Using the Shop Link for a QR Code
Each shop has a unique URL — the direct link to the ticket shop where customers can purchase tickets. This URL is visible in the Shops section when an event is selected.
NxtGn does not have a built-in QR code generator. To create a QR code that links visitors directly to the ticket shop:
-
Go to Ticketing → Shops.
-
Find the shop you want to use.
-
Copy the shop URL.
-
Paste the URL into an external QR code generator (such as QR Code Generator, Canva, or any similar tool).
-
Download the QR code and use it on posters, flyers, or screens.
When visitors scan the QR code, they are taken directly to the ticket shop for that event.
Note: The Sharing Center tab on the event dashboard is not the right place for this. The Sharing Center is used to share dashboard statistics with others — not to generate ticket shop links or QR codes.
Editing a Shop
When clicking on a shop, you enter the shop configuration view. You can adjust operational settings and ticket assignments.
Editing the visual design of a shop is handled in the Design section of the dashboard. The Shops module controls shop configuration and structure, while the Design module controls branding and styling.
What This Section Actually Controls
The Shops overview controls:
-
Shop creation
-
Shop activation or archiving
-
Shop-level access
-
Shop configuration entry point
It does NOT directly control:
-
Ticket creation
-
Pricing configuration
-
Pool logic
-
Marketing tracking
Important Considerations
-
Tickets must be assigned to shops (via Sales Strategy) to be visible for purchase.
-
Archiving a shop removes it from active selling.
-
Shop configuration affects how customers access tickets.
-
Visual styling is configured in the Design section, not here.
Functional Summary
Within Ticketing → Shops, the user can view, create, and manage ticket shops for the selected event. Each shop has a unique URL that can be copied and used in an external QR code generator to create a scannable link to the ticket shop. This section is the control centre for managing ticket shops and their direct links.
Extra info:
Shop Overview – Ticket Categories
When an event consists of multiple smaller events, you can group tickets into categories to keep the shop organized. Categories appear as headers in the shop with the relevant tickets listed underneath. Categories can be collapsed to hide tickets from purchase until you are ready to open sales. For steps on how to create and manage categories, refer to the Ticket Categories knowledge block.
