STIR/SHAKEN builds trust with the people you call: CM.com adds a digital signature proving the displayed number genuinely belongs to your business. In some countries this is legally required and unsigned calls may be dropped. It counters spoofing and can improve answer rates.
Currently applies to US (+1) and French (+33) A-numbers only. CM.com does not sign calls for other CLIs.
Attestation levels
-
A — Full Attestation: caller verified and authorised for the number (highest trust).
-
B — Partial Attestation: caller is a known customer, but authorisation for the specific number isn't confirmed.
-
C — Gateway Attestation: only the originating network is known (lowest trust).
On the CM.com Voice platform
-
SIP Trunking (outbound): number hosted in your CM.com Voice Account → A-level. Not hosted by CM.com → C-level. Linking the SIP account to a company profile upgrades to B-level.
-
Voice API & Voice Campaigns: A-level only when calling with numbers you own in the CM.com Voice platform; all others → C-level.
