Anonymous calls

Anonymous outbound calls

Anonymous calls are supported. When a SIP INVITE includes a Privacy: id header, the call will be dialed out anonymously. Even for anonymous calls, a valid CLI must always be present in the From, P-Asserted-Identity, or Remote-Party-ID header.

Anonymous inbound calls

Anonymous international and national inbound calls will be presented without a CLI. The From-header will be replaced by CM.com with <sip:[email protected]> and any P-Asserted-Identity-header and Remote-Party-ID-header will be stripped.

FAQ

How can I call anonymously if my PBX or softphone does not have this option?

In the Voice Management App (link), a SIP account can be configured to dial out anonymously for all calls when the option “Enforce anonymous calling” is enabled.

Alternatively, if the user part of the SIP URI in the From-header is set to “anonymous”, CM.com will dial out the call anonymously.
