Layout templates
Navigation: Templates → Layout templates
Layout templates are a useful feature designed to streamline the creation and synchronization of cash register layouts across multiple channels. This is especially beneficial for businesses with multiple venues selling the same products. Instead of manually designing a layout for each register, you can leverage templates to maintain consistency effortlessly. Any changes, additions, or removals only need to be made once, allowing those adjustments to sync across all locations automatically.

Creating an empty template:
Head over to the "Layout Templates" menu item.
Use the "Add" button to create a new template.
Name your new template and click save. You can now design the layout as you would with a regular channel. This method is optimal when starting from scratch, allowing complete control over the design process.

Create / link / import layout template
Create from existing cash register
Open the cash register you wish to use as a starting point.
Click the designated footer button to initiate template creation from this register. This approach is ideal if you want to replicate or slightly modify the existing layout for uniformity across channels.
Link a layout template to a cash register
To apply your template, link it to desired cash registers.
Enter a cash register and click the "Link Template" button.
The "Link Template" dialog will appear, allowing you to select your preferred layout. Selecting a template will lock the layout, preventing unintended changes. If you need modifications, edit the linked template or unlink the register to make adjustments.
Import a layout template
Importing transfers a template's layout to a cash register, without establishing a link.
Use the import button to open the dialog and choose the template you'd like to import. This action overwrites the current layout, and changes made to the template thereafter won't sync to the cash register.

By using layout templates, you ensure that your cash register layouts are consistent and easily manageable across multiple venues. This saves time and reduces errors, maintaining a streamlined operation. For tips and additional guidance, please explore the resources at the bottom of this page.
