Who can change Safeguard settings?

Safeguard (Basic)

Available for all customers with Safeguard enabled.

  • Destination Management

    • Configure allowed or blocked countries for your traffic (“Allow all”, Allow‑list, Block‑list).

    • Used to reduce risk from high‑risk or unwanted destinations.

  • IP Address Restrictions

    • Limit which IP addresses can send traffic via your account.

    • Typically used to ensure only your own systems can send messages.

  • Rate Limiting

    • Configure maximum message rates per recipient and/or per customer.

    • Helps prevent spam‑like behavior and limits exposure during incidents.

To view or change any of the above, you need:

  • Access to Business Messaging Settings

Safeguard Plus (add‑on)

Available as an optional subscription for eligible customers. Safeguard Plus adds:

  • AI Anomaly Detection

    • Analyses your messaging traffic and assigns a risk / trust score based on anomalies (e.g. Artificially Inflated Traffic).

    • Can run in:

      • Monitoring mode – only observe and score traffic, no blocking.

      • Blocking mode – automatically block traffic below a configured trust threshold.

  • AIT Detection Center – view AIT detection figures and manage the strictness of monitoring or blocking the traffic based on the trust score.

To view Safeguard Plus screens and trust scores, you need:

  • Access to Business Messaging Settings

  • Safeguard Plus to be activated for your customer account.
