Create Event - Event Setup Form





Description

When clicking Create event, the event creation screen appears.

This is where you define the basic configuration of a new event.
An event must be created before you can add products, tickets, entrance plans, or scan settings.


What You See on This Screen

The form contains:

  • Event name field

  • Venue selection

  • Start date and time

  • End date and time

  • Time zone selection

  • Action buttons (Cancel / Create)


Step-by-Step: How to Create an Event


  1. Name (Required)

Field: Name *

What to do:

  • Enter the name of your event.

  • Use a clear and recognizable title.

Examples of usage:

  • Festival name

  • Conference edition

  • Internal demo event

This name will appear throughout the platform in lists, reporting, and scanning.


  1. Select Your Venue

Dropdown field: Select your venue

What to do:

  • Click the dropdown.

  • Choose an existing venue from the list.

If the correct venue does not exist:

  • First create it in the Venues section.

  • Then return to this screen.

The venue links the event to a physical location and its sections.


  1. Start Date and Time

Fields:

  • Start date

  • Start time

What to do:

  • Select the correct event start date.

  • Set the time the event officially begins.

Important:

  • This time influences ticket validation logic.

  • It may affect scan rules and analytics.


  1. End Date and Time

Fields:

  • End date

  • End time

What to do:

  • Select the date the event ends.

  • Set the official end time.

This defines:

  • The active event window.

  • When tickets should stop being valid (depending on rules).


  1. Timezone

Dropdown field: Timezone

What to do:

  • Confirm the correct timezone for the event location.

  • Adjust if the event takes place in another region.

This ensures:

  • Scans occur at the correct time.

  • Validation rules run correctly.

  • Analytics timestamps are accurate.


Action Buttons


Cancel

  • Closes the form.

  • Discards entered data.

  • Returns to the Events overview.


Create

  • Becomes active once required fields are completed.

  • Creates the event.

  • Adds it to the Events overview list.

After creation, you can:

  • Add products

  • Configure entrance plans

  • Assign scan users

  • Manage tickets

  • Track analytics


Important Notes

An event is the central object in the platform.

Everything else connects to it:

  • Tickets

  • Products

  • Venues

  • Entrance plans

  • Scan analytics

You must complete this form before configuring operational details.
